Sensex gains 163 pts in opening trade




Goldennifty said: Indian markets bounced back in early trade on Friday snapping earlier losses. The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 177.21 points or 0.98% at 18,331.20, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a rise of 52.25 points or 0.95%, at 5,574.20.

At 9.20 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 163.41 points or 0.90% at 18,317.40 with 24 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 51.95 points or 0.94% at 5,573.90 with 42 components gaining. 

Sensex Movers:

I C I C I Bank contributed rise of 19.48 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Reliance Industries (17.11 points), Larsen & Toubro (15.66 points), State Bank Of India (14.08 points) and Tata Motors (12.9 points).
 
However, Hero Motocorp contributed fall of 1.42 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Maruti Suzuki India (1.36 points), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.29 points), I T C (1.02 points) and Grasim Industries (0.55 points).
Major gainers in the 30-share index were Bharat Heavy Electricals (3.02%), D L F (2.43%), Tata Motors (2.30%), Sterlite Industries (India) (2.09%), State Bank Of India (1.82%), and Larsen & Toubro (1.69%).
 
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki India (0.61%), Hero Honda Motors (0.58%), Bajaj Auto (0.48%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.21%), I T C (0.07%), and Hindustan Unilever (0.07%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
