Goldennifty said: The Sensex gained more than 100 points, led by in banks. ICICI Bank extended gains to 5%, may be reacting to the good performance showed by Bank of America and Morgan Stanley.

Among frontrunners, Bajaj Auto, Wipro, DLF, Jindal Steel, IDFC and Axis Bank (ahead of numbers for Q3) shot up 2-4%. SBI, TCS, BHEL and NTPC gained 1-2%.
Reliance Power, Maruti Suzuki, Reliance Infrastructure, M&M, GAIL and Reliance Industries were down 0.5-2%. Reliance, ONGC and HDFC were marginally lower.
In the second line shares, , Hindustan National Glass, Amtek Auto, and Central Bank were up 5-9% while Dish TV India, Jindal Stainless, Jet Airways, Whirlpool and HT Media lost 2.5-4%.
