Goldennifty said,  The share market continued to trade higher amid some volatility today and now it seemed to be closing on a strong note for the third consecutive week.
The Sensex was up 97 points at 16,740.32 and the  NSE Nifty went up 25 points to 5,043.55.

Shares of ICICI Bank and Bajaj Auto retained their top position in the buying list, shooting up more than 5%. Even Hero Motocorp gained more than 3% post management comments on its third quarter results.   http://www.goldennifty.com

SBI, BHEL, Wipro, Jindal Steel and DLF among other largecaps rallied 2-2.5%. Power stocks continued their run up in today's trade as well - NTPC and Tata Power rose 1.7% each.

However, Coal India tanked 3%; M&M and Maruti fell nearly 2%. 

ITC post its third quarter numbers, Infosys, Reliance Industries, HDFC, ONGC and Tata Motors were marginally lower.
