Benchmark U.S. crude rose USD 2.01, or 2%, to finish at USD 100.71 a barrel in New York. Brent crude rose 19 cents to end at USD 111.53 a barrel in London.
MCX Natural gas trading fell 18 cents, or 6.8% to USD 2.49 per 1,000 cubic feet in New York. That price is down 17% for the month and 45% lower than a year ago.
In other trading, heating oil rose about a penny to USD 3.04 per gallon and gasoline futures rose 4 cents to USD 2.77 per gallon. www.goldennifty.com
