Sensex trades flat

Goldennifty says:    Indian equities continues to trade on a flat note amid volatility. Oil & Gas and Realty stocks gained ground. At 11.49 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 22.45 points or 0.14% at 16,488.50 with 17 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nse Nifty was trading higher by 2.10 points or 0.04% at 4,969.40 with 28 components gaining.
The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened with a gain of 36.37 points or 0.22% at 16,502.42, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a rise of 10.45 points or 0.21%, at 4,977.75.

Sensex Movers

Reliance Industries contributed rise of 65.7 points in the Sensex. It was followed by H D F C Bank (15.63 points), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (8.37 points), Bharti Airtel (6.99 points) and Tata Power Company (5.57 points).

However, Infosys contributed fall of 29.25 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Tata Consultancy Services (25.14 points), I C I C I Bank (18.55 points), Mahindra & Mahindra (10.84 points) and Wipro (7.13 points).

Major gainers in the 30-share index were Reliance Industries (4.05%), Tata Power Company (2.84%), D L F (2.35%), Hero Honda Motors (2.28%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (1.53%), and H D F C Bank (1.44%). 

On the other hand, Tata Consultancy Services (3.20%), Mahindra & Mahindra (2.76%), Wipro (2.35%), Infosys Technologies (1.88%), Tata Steel (1.81%), and I C I C I Bank (1.65%) were the major losers in the Sensex.
