Sensex flat with positive bias at open




Goldennifty said: Indian markets continued to rally for the second day on Tuesday. At 9.24 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 1.04 points or 0.01% at 17,773.88 with 13 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 0.70 points or 0.01% at 5,389.50 with 29 components falling. 

The 30-share benchmark index, BSE Sensex opened flat with a decline of 5.38 points or 0.03% at 17,767.46, while the broad based NSE Nifty started with a fall of 9.40 points or 0.17%, at 5,380.80.

Sensex Movers

State Bank Of India contributed rise of 13.04 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Tata Motors (7.9 points), Mahindra & Mahindra (3.33 points), Hero Motocorp (1.43 points) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (1.33 points).
 
However, Infosys contributed fall of 8.43 points in the Sensex. It was followed by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (4.57 points), Tata Consultancy Services (3.39 points), Larsen & Toubro (3.01 points) and Reliance Industries (2.92 points).

Biggest gainers in the 30-share index were State Bank Of India (1.74%), Tata Motors (1.45%), G A I L (India) (0.88%), Mahindra & Mahindra (0.87%), Hero Honda Motors (0.60%), and Coal India (0.54%).
 
On the other hand, Cipla (3.05%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (0.78%), Infosys Technologies (0.51%), Bharti Airtel (0.43%), Hindustan Unilever (0.42%), and Tata Consultancy Services (0.39%) were the biggest losers in the Sensex.
